Do’s and Don’ts of Epilepsy

Stay CALM
CUSHION the person's head
PROTECT from injury
LOOSEN anything tight around neck
Turn  to side to prevent choking- right or left
TIME the seizure
More than 5 mins, RUSH TO HOSPITAL
After recovery, REASSURE & OFFER HELP
DO NOT CROWD around
DO NOT RESTRICT the person
DO NOT PUT anything in the mouth
NO WATER OR FLUID till fully alert
Do not make the person smell a shoe / onion
Do not force down
Do not leave person unattended
